It looks like Neversoft (developer) decided to try and shake things up a bit with some gameplay changes in the upcoming Guitar Hero Metallica game.
Here are some of the changes:
Double Bass Pedal for Drums
By now you have most likely heard of the Guitar Hero Metallica having support for a double bass pedal. This feature is only enabled in Expert levels. The extra bass pedal is connected using a splitter that splits the connection.
No More “Unlock all Songs” cheats!
In Guitar Hero Metallica all songs will be fully playable right when you pop in the game. I’m guessing that means no more entering cheats (and having to hear about how its “not working” for them) to gain access to all of the songs.
This time around, in Career Mode, instead of taking players through the band’s career chronologically like in “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith,” gamers take on the role of a band that rocks its way onto a Metallica tour as the opening act, a premise based on a true story as relayed by frontman James Hetfield.
Guitar Hero Metallica Look and Feel
The style of the game is consitant with the style of Metallica’s music. There are tons of explosions and pyrotechnics coinciding with the music. The game is riddled with live concert videos and real show flyers to give a more unique and full experience.
As far as venues go:
Venues include the Los Angeles Forum and Moscow’s Tushino Airport, where Metallica played before 1.6 million fans in 1991 as part of the Monsters of Rock tour.
The Guitar Hero Metallica Songs List consists for 49 songs with 28 coming from Metallica themselves. All other songs were chosen directly by the band.
Metallica definitely likes to control their name and their products. I know they do pretty much all GH announcements on their website.
