Texas Flood |
Texas Flood is a song by Stevie Ray Vaughan featured in Guitar Hero 1. It is considered one of the hardest songs to 5-star; the general unreliability of HOPOs in the original Guitar Hero almost forces the player to strum every note, making this chart an unforgiving combo breaker. It also has the infamous OSSoD - the Orange Star Stream of Death (at about 3:59 in the video) - they are triplet thirty-second notes, meaning 48 notes are packed into a measure (12 into a beat).
WalkthroughThe song isn't as tough to pass as it is to 5*. Although tough HOPO sections are abundant, they won't keep the player struggling to pass; they will most likely just destroy combos. Try to strum as many notes in the longer strings as you can, or if you're daring, go ahead and try those HOPOs. Stats
Appears InGuitar Hero (6th tier) A Cover Version of a song is a song that is recorded by a different artist than the original. Cover versions are mostly used in Guitar Hero because of an artist not allowing the use of the original Master Track or otherwise not having the master track available. Cover versions are shown by the song as made famous by such as Heart-Shaped Box as made famous by Nirvana. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has significantly fewer of cover versions, since Neversoft was able to get more bands to sign up, while the series is now more famous. It should be noted that every bonus song has been a master track except for "She Bangs the Drums" in Guitar Hero III. Every Guitar Hero game since Guitar Hero: World Tour does not contain any covers.
