Guitar Hero: Metallica is the third spinoff title, and the second title based on a specific band in the Guitar Hero series. It will be based around the influential American thrash metal band Metallica.

Setlist

The game will include 45 tracks, 28 which are Metallica's songs, the other 17 are by bands Metallica has played with, or their personal favorites. The game is due in late March.

Downloadable content

Although there is no announced downloadable content, players who have downloaded the Death Magnetic pack on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock or Guitar Hero World Tour will have the tracks available on this game. "Broken, Beat & Scarred," "Cyanide" and "My Apocalypse" will be available on the Wii edition of the game due to the full Death Magnetic album unavailable to Wii users.
